What is the City Centre Coordination targeted rate?
The City Centre targeted rate is a specific rate paid by commercial and industrial property owners within the defined city centre area. It funds activities and services intended to support and enhance the city centre via events and activation, retailer promotion, and business engagement.
Who pays the targeted rate?
The targeted rate is paid by property owners within the designated city centre boundary. These costs may be reflected in lease arrangements with tenants running businesses within the boundary.

What does the targeted rate fund currently?
The targeted rate funds the City Centre Activation Programme run by Great South. The rate supports a programme of activities which includes events and activations, marketing and promotion and business engagement. Some of the events are run by Great South, others they promote or support in other ways.
