What can we do to make Elizabeth Park great?

Council understands that Elizabeth Park is an important park to residents of South City and regular users. The 15-hectare Park currently boasts a play space, large green space for recreational walkers, and is used by many of our local tamariki and rangitahi for school cross-country events. The park also features the newest local disc golf course and is home to Southlands BMX Club which has recently invested in the new international grade track.

Improvements to Elizabeth Park were highlighted as part of the 2024-2034 Long-Term Plan Consultation. Through this process, we received submissions relating to inequity of investment, lack of facilities and amenities, and levels of service issues within this reserve. Subsequently, Council approved investment for strategic planning in the 2024-2025 Long Term Plan.

Council wants to hear your thoughts on Elizabeth Park. We are looking forward to hearing how you use the space currently as well as what you think could be done to improve it. Let us know in the comment boxes below or via the submission form how we can unlock the future potential of Elizabeth Park, to strive to best meet the needs of our community.
