Why are we reviewing how we manage Food Trucks?

Currently, when an operator applies for a permit with us, they approach different teams within Invercargill City Council e.g. Roading or our Parks and Reserves teams

We acknowledge this can be confusing and also can result in them providing us with the same information repeatedly. We are committed to providing a one-stop service for permit applications, and at the same time, we are also reviewing what locations are best for Food Trucks, and the current operating conditions of our permits to ensure they are fit for purpose.

What feedback are we looking for?

Council wants to hear about preferred locations, hours, and the environmental impact of food trucks. If you think there is anything else we need to consider, let us know!

What will council do with the list of suggested locations?

Once we have concluded engagement, we will share this information with Food Truck Operators

If a great new space is identified, we are open to working with Food Truck Operators to make sure it is a viable and safe option for them to operate in future.

How can I have my say?

Drop a pin on your preferred Locations and complete the Survey to tell us what you think about Food Trucks!
