Your Community, Your Say LTP 2027-2037
We are looking towards the future for Invercargill and Bluff.
As we settle into the new triennium as Council, we have started working on our next Long-term Plan (LTP). The 2027-2037 LTP will set out the council direction and priorities for the decade ahead.
It is important to us as we look ahead that nobody is left behind, meaning our youth, older people, different neighbourhoods, and communities' basic needs are met through cost effective investment, and that everyone feels valued and proud to live here. We envision a vibrant, safe city that meets our people's diverse cultural needs. We want to be a driver of a future focused economy, delivered through innovation and partnerships, and supported by appropriate infrastructure. We want to contribute to a healthy, resilient environment, supporting a healthy, resilient community
We have planned a series of Councillor Workshops this year to discuss the strategic challenges and opportunities that face our community, as well as to refine our future work programme.
In May and June we will be talking about:
- Property, Waste and Digital Capital
- Elderly Housing Future Options
- Strategic Projects, Water Services
- Strategic Projects, General
It is essential that we hear your voice before we make decisions that will inform our plan. This year, you will find us popping up more frequently in our community at various events or at community groups. Primarily, we will be there to listen,
At these events, you can ask us questions, answer questions related to the upcoming Councillor LTP Workshop topics, or just let us know what else is important to you
Each month we will have a survey open with questions that are on our mind relating to upcoming LTP workshops, you can answer the ones that are most important to you, or all of them to stay involved in the conversation.
Ngā mihi nui
