Learn to Trout Fish – Instructional Event

Southland has some fantastic trout fishing opportunities, and Southland Fish & Game is running an instructional trout fishing event for anyone keen to learn how to catch trout.

At this event, Fish & Game staff will cover the basics of trout fishing, including techniques, tips, and the fishing rules you need to know.

Date & Time: Friday 12 September, 10:00 am – 2:00 pm

Location: Lower Oreti River, West Plains–Taramoa Road

Transport: Available on request

Refreshments: Provided

If you are keen to learn how to catch fish locally, this is a great chance to learn from experienced anglers and enjoy a day on the water.
