What is the engagement process and when/how can I give input?
You can provide feedback via the survey in the link on this page
Are you reclassifying the whole of Queens Park?
No, only part of the park that the Museum footprint will be sitting on. This means Council will need to subdivide and survey the land to be museum land (part of lot 2) and add to the existing area (lots 1 and 3) pursuant to section 52 of the Reserves Act 1977.
What will happen to the rose garden?
The rose garden is regarded as nationally significant and will continue to be a priority. It will become a more prominent garden within Queens Park through landscape design.
WIll funding be needed for landscaping?
Council staff have put forward a capital bid as part of the Annual Plan process to ensure the new facility sits well within the Park.
