Invercargill City Council recognises the important contribution food trucks play in a vibrant city, by activating key spaces across Invercargill and Bluff.

Council acknowledges that truck permit applications and operation conditions are not user-friendly for our food truck operators. To remedy this, we are committed to producing a strategy that is fit for purpose across all arms of our organisation and allows Food Trucks to operate safely in our district. To achieve this, we're keen to hear your thoughts on how we manage Food Trucks currently. What's working well, what isn't working well, and is there anything else you think we should consider?

We need feedback from key stakeholders, including food truck operators, neighbours to current food truck locations, other businesses operating in the area, and members of our community who use Food Trucks.

Council wants to hear about preferred locations, hours, and the environmental impact of Food Trucks so we can offer choice and a great user experience that works for both food truck operations and their customers.
